According to noted Cronulla Sharks supporter Brendan Cowell, Tigers five-eighth Benji Marshall should take home the gong bestowed annually upon the best player in the NRL competition. “Look, it’d be hard to go past Benji [Marshall, West Tigers],” Cowell told us earlier today. “I think because Thurston [Jonathan Thurston, North Queensland Cowboys] was out for a few weeks I’m pretty sure Benji will take it home.”
