BREAKING: Essendon Reportedly Set To Finally Bin James Hird As Coach

The Essendon Football Club is reportedly set to part ways with embattled senior coach James Hird, effective immediately.

Fairfax Media is reporting that the club is expected to announce that Hird has resigned from his position as the coach of the club, in the wake of the Bombers’ second 100-point loss for the season at the hands of Adelaide this past Saturday afternoon.
The Fairfax report states that the Essendon board met on Monday morning to discuss the situation.
Hird has suffered the most controversial coaching career in the history of the game, with the much talked about WADA appeal still hanging over the club’s playing list – an investigation and trial that has now lasted some 900+ days.
The club’s players have been playing horrendous, broken football over the past few months, with many in the media speculating that their spirit has simply been broken.
The club is set to hold a press conference at 3:15pm this afternoon to relay the status of Hird and the senior coach’s position.
It’s worth noting that Fairfax has previously jumped the gun on a Hird dismissal from the Bombers. However, this appears to be far more concrete.
Time appears to finally be up for the club’s golden boy.
