Biff Queen Ronda Rousey Will Smash Her Way Back At UFC 207 In December

It’s been (CLICK FOR LOL) nearly a year since Holly Holm bipped Ronda Rousey in the scone so hard that it made her question her very soul, and since then “will Rousey return to the UFC and if so will she still be capable of wrecking shit?” has been the great unanswered query of the MMA world.
The answer to that, as it turns out, is “yes” and “maybe?”

UFC boss Dana White earlier today confirmed that Rousey’s official return to the octagon will take place on December 30th at UFC 207 in a Women’s Bantamweight title match against current-champ Amanda Nunes.
Since Rousey’s fateful bout in Melbourne, she’s been busying herself with film shoots and general soul-searching. Her title rematch will mark her first appearance inside a mixed-martial arts arena in 411 days.
Since Rousey’s loss at UFC 193, the Women’s Bantamweight Championship has not once been successfully defended. Holly Holm lost the title to Miesha Tate at UFC 196, and Nunes subsequently upended Tate for the title at UFC 200 (editor’s note: my pro-wrestling obsessed brain is drawing the clearly logical conclusion of a Fatal 4-Way match).
Nunes is 13-4 through her career, and hasn’t been beaten since September 2014.

UFC 207 goes down on New Year’s Eve (AUS time) from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
