Bernard Tomic Slapped With $13K Fine For Yelling “Suck My Balls” At Heckler

“Suck my balls” is obviously a hall of famer schoolyard sledge which maintains some of its charm well into adulthood. That being said, would you pay $13,000 for the privilege of telling someone to suck your balls?

Well, Bernard Tomic is absolutely paying that much. The Aussie tennis player got fired up during his upset loss to world number 72 Damir Dzumhur at the US Open, and was caught on camera telling a heckler that it would be good, on balance, if the heckler would do Tomic the pleasure of sucking his balls.
He also said “I will put my balls in your mouth” and “I will give you some money to make you feel good,” which are not ideal things to be saying during a televised sports match if you’re in the business of not losing $13K. Tomic later said that he snapped after fan abuse – including some who insulted him in his mother language.
His hefty bill adds to the heap of $46,330 in fines that have been issued in the first three days of main-draw competition at the US Open. All funds go to the Grand Slam Development Fund.
I guess as a nation we need to stand up, come together, all chuck in a fiver and pay this fine for him. It’s the only decent thing to do.
