Here’s Ben Simmons Copping Heat On A Very NBA Edition Of ‘Mean Tweets’

Being a pro-athlete on social media must be a hellish experience at the best of times, so it’s remarkable that some of these rockets fired off in the latest edition of Mean Tweets are as tame as what they are.

With the NBA Finals commencing earlier today, Jimmy Kimmel took his hugely good recurring segment to the court floor, enlisting a stack of NBA players and personalities to read out some of the looser barbs lobbed at them by random punters on the world wide web.

Chief among them is Australia’s very own and newest member of the pro-sports/Kardashian web, Ben Simmons.

He’s a humble lad at the best of times and suppressing the Australianisms in front of the US media has gotta be an uphill battle, but even still suggesting he has a “boring voice” is a fair dig by any stretch of the imagination.

Along with Simmons in this latest clip are the likes of Draymond Green copping flame for an ugly jump shot, someone taking a really quite good pot shot at human motor mouth Stephen A Smith, and one-time accused rapist Kobe Bryant belting out a few bars of Seal‘s almighty hit Kiss From A Rose.

It’s Mean Tweets, you all know it by now. And you all know it’s pretty dang good no matter who’s in it.

Seriously but, that’s Australia’s Ben Simmons they’re talking about there. Leave the kid alone.

It’s a bloody outrage, it is.
