Troubled former AFL star Ben Cousins has reportedly been changed with drug possession and breaching a violence restraining order, after being arrested in Canning Vale yesterday arvo.

9 News Perth broke the yarn:
It is reported that he has been formally charged with has been charged with possession of methamphetamine and two charges of breaching a violence restraining order.
Cousins was hospitalised in June after he was found ‘directing traffic’ on a major highway in Western Australia. The former AFL star and six-time All-Australian has a history of difficulties with drugs. His issues reportedly started after Eagles Grand Final win a decade ago. His last game was in 2010.
Eagles chief executive Trevor Nisbett told The Footy Show earlier in the year that there were serious concerns about Cousins’ wellbeing:
I guess the disappointing thing is we weren’t able to salvage Ben out of the wreck,” Nisbett said.

“I worry [about Cousins] every day. We would like him to be healthy and well and getting on with his life like a 36- or 37-year-old should be doing. But we are not sure what space he is in at the moment.”

He will appear at Armadale Magistrates Court today.
