Australia Announces Chumpy Flag-Bearer For Sochi Opening Ceremony

Noted athletes James Packer and Lachlan Murdoch watched on this morning as 26-year-old two-time snowboard cross world champion Alex Pullin was confirmed as the Australian flag-bearer for the Soshit Winter Olympics Opening Ceremony feat. t.A.T.u.
Pullins, pictured above with Lydia Lassila, a four-time Games veteran freestyle skier and 2010 Vancouver gold medallist, described his feeling at being handed down the honour as being both #soblessed and #humble: “To be passed that flag by Lydia, who is someone in winter sport who has done so many great achievements and really pushed it forward for the younger generations coming forward; that is something that really needs to be appreciated.”
The fastest qualifier for his event at the Vancouver games where he reached the quarter-finals, Pullin is a favourite to win gold at Sochi should event organisers find the plot they’ve clearly lost in time for tomorrow’s proceedings. Also, his nickname for no reason is Chumpy.
Good luck, Chumpy.
