Despite fears that veteran Rugby League star Billy Slater may be calling it quits at the end of this, just wrapped, 2017 footy season, the Melbourne Storm try-scoring beast has tonight confirmed he’ll be bloody back, don’t you worry about it.
Announced at the Storm’s Player Of The Year Awards tonight, Slater dropped the surprise news to, no-doubt borderline hysteria:

Whilst teammate Cooper Cronk finished his League stint with the Storm’s 35-6 win over the Cowboys over the weekend at the NRL Grand Final, Slater has committed to a one-year deal with Melbourne, who he’s played for since 2003.
Whilst at Melbourne, Slater has won two grand finals, the Clive Churchill Medal, the Dally M Medal and currently has the 2nd most NRL tries ever with 182 tries from 299 games.
WHAT A FUCKING BEAST.
