How they managed to get that seemingly impossible moment of weightlessness tethered to the ground is beyond me, but tomorrow will see a three-metre high bronze statue unveiled of AFLW player Tayla Harris doing the kick that stopped a nation.

The photo of Harris executing a kick with the agility and focus of a Shaolin master quickly became iconic thanks to 7AFL’s decision to delete a social media post including the image, due to a large number of people being exceptionally gross in the comments.
Here’s a pic of me at work… think about this before your derogatory comments, animals. pic.twitter.com/68aBVVbTTj

The incident sparked a larger conversation about sexism in sport, and the attitudes with which women in the AFLW are treated.
The statue will be unveiled at Federation Square tomorrow morning by Harris herself.
