Watch Drag Queen Jackie Daniels Return To Her Hometown To Celebrate Pride With Her Proud Dad

Show All Your Colours Tour

Prepare your tear ducts team, we’re off on an overwhelmingly heartwarming adventure.

The Absolut Show All Your Colours Tour is currently making its way through regional Australia, bringing Sydney’s Pride on tour to small hometowns of LGBTQIA+ people so they can celebrate pride and love and everything that Mardi Gras stands for.

It’s all very cute.

For the first stop of the tour, we met Ben AKA the glorious drag queen, Jackie Daniels.

“Growing up as a teenager, you being told so much that your different and that’s not an okay thing, that’s the hardest thing,” Ben says at the beginning of the video, which is why I told you to prep your tear ducts.

Ben’s hometown is a tiny little place called Uralla, about six hours northwest of Sydney. While he resides in Sydney now, Ben returned to Uralla for the tour stop, where a big Mardi Gras bash was thrown at their local pub.

“I think it’s so important for regional areas to see Pride. For all those young, queer people growing up, they need to see that [it’s] okay, they need to see that celebration of love and acceptance,” Ben continues.

During the video, we’re introduced to Ben’s Dad, Greg, who couldn’t sound prouder if he tried.

“I’m his number one fan. The very first time I saw Jackie Daniels’s show was at the Bank Hotel in Sydney and it just blew me away, it was fantastic,” Greg gushes.

If you want to check out how the rest of the tour is going, I implore you to head here.

Yay for accepting parents and a huge yay for Ben and Jackie.
