Did you know today is World Emoji Day? Well, it is. And to celebrate World Emoji Day, loads of brands are doing emoji-related stuff.
In Tinder’s case, they’ve let Australia know the top five emoji we use on their dating app, and look – I could have predicted a few, tbh.
First, there’s the martini glass:
Which like, I guess we’re all using it to say “drinks?” in messages and/or to imply we enjoy a martini or two. Or… not martinis. IDK.
Next up there’s the surfing guy:
This one confuses me – are we all surfing? What are we using this for? I have never in my life used this emoji.
Next? The ICONIC dancing girl:
This makes complete sense – I use this gal for everything from “let’s go dancing!” to “I’m feeling zesty!” so naturally she makes the top five.
Then we have the heart-eyes emoji:
Again, makes sense on a dating app.
Finally, we have… the hamburger.
Honestly, I love a hamburger as much as the next guy/gal but really? We use this MORE than the winky face? We all must really love going and getting hamburgers, I guess.
