Police and romance.
The two don’t usually don’t go together.
But today, South Australian police shook off any preconceived ideas about being a stiff bunch by helping a bloke propose to his girlfriend.
The lovestruck dentist, Michael Yuan, had apparently seen a similar staged proposal online and after speaking to one of his colleagues with a brother at SA Police, decided to set one up himself.
The coppers staged a routine traffic stop and ask the couple to get out of the car. One of the officers then told the soon-to-be-proposee that her boyfriend was in for “a lifetime of trouble” as he got down on one knee behind her. (Classic gag, nice touch.)
