It’s been just days since Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik’s pregnancy announcement, but fans are already convinced they know the baby’s gender thanks to a theory that Gigi’s birthday was actually a baby shower/gender reveal party.
In case you somehow missed it, TMZ reported earlier this week that the pair were expecting their first child.
“Family sources for the couple tell us … Gigi is 20 weeks along. It’s unclear if they know the sex of the baby yet, but both of their families are very excited. The supermodel shared some celebratory photos with the former One Direction singer this past weekend, but they weren’t baby related … they were birthday pics.”
Basically, the theory claims that Gigi’s 25th birthday quarantine party was secretly a baby shower for the most genetically child on the planet, with the potential of a gender being revealed at the shindig.
The first clue comes from a small but supposedly important detail: the balloon strings.
If you look closely at Gigi’s ’25’ balloons, one has a pink string and one has a blue string, which has lead fans to speculate that the party could’ve also been a gender reveal.

I know what you’re thinking, that’s hardly ~evidence~ this was a baby shower. But there’s more. If you look closely at Gigi’s sister Bella Hadid‘s Instagram stories, you can see a gift bag with a strategically-placed sunflower emoji.
This seems harmless enough, but a super sleuthy Twitter fan seems to have found the exact gift bag online, which reads “Hello Little One.” Seriously, are the FBI recruiting? Because @MalikMyWings deserves a job.

Bella’s Instagram story also showed off a baby shark gift bag, which seems like a weird choice for a 25th birthday that’s not doubling as a baby shower.

So… We’ve seen a pink balloon, a blue balloon, a pink bag and a blue bag, leaving very little to hint at a gender. However, a source recently told TMZ that the baby will be a little girl, so take that with whatever sized grain of salt you choose.
We don’t have any confirmation from either Gigi or Zayn just yet, but we’ll be sure to update you as soon as we know any more juicy details about what I can only imagine will be the most beautiful child to ever grace this planet.
