I do not know how to describe my love for Zendaya. I don’t know if I can even do it. She is the angel on top of my Christmas tree, she is the light of my life, (one of) the queen(s) of my heart – you get the gist. So you can imagine my response when I found out she is / was just casually in SYDNEY.

I did a bit of a Google and Zendaya was in town for GQ Australia’s 2019 Men of the Year Awards.
She looked phenomenal. She always does, it is very unfair.
The event was hosted at Sydney’s Hyatt Regency and saw the likes of Adam Goodes, Jessica Mauboy, Dylan Alcott, Georgia Fowler, Sophie Monk, Austin Butler, Baz Luhrmann, and Joel Creasey walk the carpet. Quite the star-studded event if I do say so myself.
Zendaya was rightfully named GQ Australia’s Woman of the Year for 2019, for using her platform to bring awareness to issues like inequality and the stigma surrounding mental health.
“Woman of the Year, that’s kind of crazy considering that I’m just 23-years-old and trying to figure out how to become a woman myself, and figuring it out as I go and be here tonight – just thank you so much,” the Spider-Man star said upon receiving the award.
“I don’t really know what to say, it’s a huge honour. I feel like sometimes I go and I go, and I think a lot of us can relate to this, but you go so hard and you forget to stop and take in moments like this. Sometimes I work so much it can take over my life and I forget to be present in these kinds of moments where you can look around the room and just take it in, you know. And just be happy, and just be alive for a second.
“So, that’s what I’m going to do, I’m going to take a second to look around and think, ‘Holy shit, this is happening.’ It’s pretty cool, so thank you guys so much. And thank you for allowing me to use my art form and allowing me to connect with people.”
Zendaya’s Euphoria co-star, Aussie actor Jacob Elordi, who she may or may not be dating, was also at the event. He was named GQ Australia’s TV Actor of the Year.
The pair were spotted on a train in Sydney yesterday, and I have never wanted to catch the train more in my life.
