Stefan From ‘Vampire Diaries’ Is Robbing Banks Now In A New Thriller Series

It’s been a big weekend for CBS All Access, what with the announcement there’s going to be a brand new Star Trek series starring the one and only Sir Patrick Stewart as Captain Jean-Luc Picard. But now, we’ve got something else – and if you were/are a fan of Scream or Vampire Diaries then this one’s for you.

The series is called Tell Me A Story and reimagines our beloved fairy tales into something a tad more sinister.

The official synopsis, per Indiewirereads:

‘Tell Me a Story’ takes the world’s most beloved fairy tales and reimagines them as a dark and twisted psychological thriller. Set in modern-day New York City, the first season of this serialised drama interweaves ‘The Three Little Pigs,’ ‘Little Red Riding Hood’ and ‘Hansel and Gretel’ into an epic and subversive tale of love, loss, greed, revenge and murder.

Well, alrighty then.

CBS All Access announced the news at their Television Critic Association presentation in which they shared there would be 10 episodes with the first hitting the service on October 31 AKA Halloween which makes sense.

Kevin Williamson, man who actually did work on Scream, Vampire DiariesThe Following, and I Know What You Did Last Summer is the executive producer on the show.

And as for the cast, well you’ve got Vampire Diaries star Paul Wesley, Sex In The City star Kim Cattrall, Austin Butler, Billy Magnussen, James Wolk, and Zabryna Guevara just to name a few. You might not recognise some of these names but you’ll know their faces.

Based on the trailer, The Three Little Pigs are now humans wearing terrifying pig masks as they rob a jewellery store so that’s great… and one of these little piggies is Wesley.

Tell Me A Story will debut on CBS All Access, October 31. The streaming is expected to launch in Australia later this year.

Don’t illegally stream – bad, very bad. Bad choice. BAD.

As for that new Star Trek series, it’s still extremely early days with the show reportedly still in development. However, the series is said to be a follow-up to Star Trek: The Next Generation which makes sense.

Premiere dates have yet to be released.
