‘13 Reasons Why’ Star Dylan Minnette Finally Drops Some Goss On Season 2

We STILL have very little news to go on regarding the upcoming second season of hit Netflix show 13 Reasons Why, at this point all we really know is that it’s happening…. at some point.

No doubt ensuring they’re not rushing back too quickly into a show which was admittedly probbo at times (and got rightfully called out on it), show runners and cast haven’t spoken much on what to expect from S2 which is supposedly coming later this year.

A new interview with star Dylan Minnette over at Seventeen however, finally has gifted us some teases on what will actually go down story-wise.

Whilst we already knew the show would heavily utilise more flashbacks to further look into the life of departed character Hannah, Dylan tells us not to expect any new scenes featuring his character Clay and her:

We potentially could see more flashbacks with Clay and Hannah, but what I will say is that I think we learn pretty much almost everything we needed to know about what Clay and Hannah’s relationship was [in season one]. I think that’s pretty clear.

Instead, season 2 looks set to explore the relationship between Clay and estranged childhood bud Skye:

I can’t say too much, but Skye is still around and in the picture and there’s a chance that her and Clay could be friends or more. That’s something you’ll learn pretty quickly when the season starts. I don’t want to spoil that for you, but she’s around.

Acknowledging the division amongst viewers and critics alike regarding season one’s depiction of suicide, Dylan also commented that the writers are trying to improve this season but without “being condescending or talking to the camera and having dialogue that sounds out of place.”

13 Reasons Why season 2 is due out later this year.
