Jillian Dibble, a dog-mum to 12-year-old Daisy the beagle, has embarked on a ‘bucket list’ journey to make sure that the next eight weeks are filled with doggy treats and lots of trips to the beach.

“I was so devastated when I got the phone call that she had lymphoma, and I wasn’t sure how I was supposed to say goodbye,” Jillian told WPTV.

The 12-year-old beagle suffers from a heart murmur, fluid on her lungs, and lymphoma. However, vets have opted not to operate on her or perform chemotherapy due to her age. *cries forever*

“I decided we are gonna have fun for as long as I have with her,” Daisy’s dog-mum said.

Dogs are too pure for this world. We do not deserve them at all and it is truly hearbreaking when anything bad ever happens to them. If you need me, I’ll be crying in my bed forever.

The pair have been inseparable since Daisy was 6-weeks-old, and Dibble and her canine companion are going to bloody enjoy their last few weeks together. I’m not crying, YOU’RE CRYING!

Daisy’s bucket list includes a bunch of fun activities including:

  • Have a Starbucks pupachino
  • Order a burger at McDonald’s
  • Have ice cream on the Ave.
  • Go to the beach
  • Play with friends at the dog park
  • Visit a pet store and play with everything
  • Have a steak dinner
  • Go swimming at Grandma’s
  • Have a BBQ
  • Cruise down A1A with the windows down and music up
  • Visit a fire house
  • Raise funds and collect donations for shelter animals in Daisy’s name and deliver them
  • Have a photo shoot
  • Make a paw print ornament
  • Sit together and watch the sunset/sunrise
  • Follow that scent for as long as you want
  • Paint a picture

Daisy and Jillian have already chipped away at a number of the bucket list activities. She’s gone to the beach, had a BBQ, eaten a steak and had even some ice cream for dessert.

Jillian said that she just wants to enjoy her last few weeks with Daisy and “make her happy”.

“She’s my friend and she’s been a good dog to me for 12 years,” Dibble said.

Okay, now I’m crying. Daisy the beagle is too pure for this world and my fragile heart cannot handle anything bad happening to this dog.

Hug your four-legged friends extra tight tonight.
