Before you ask, yes, this is real. No, I’m not screwing with you. No, this is not satire.
Barbra Streisand has had her late dog, Samantha, cloned into two new pups, Miss Violet and Miss Scarlet.
So not only did she clone her dog, but she did it twice.
In a recent interview with Variety, Streisand said that her two newer Coton du Telear pups are actually clones of her 14-year-old dog who passed away last year.
“They have different personalities,” Streisand told Variety. “I’m waiting for them to get older so I can see if they have her [Samantha’s] brown eyes and seriousness.”
She said that in order to clone her beloved Samantha, she had cells taken from the senior pup’s mouth and stomach before she passed away. Those cells turned into two of the three fluffy white clouds she snuggles up to today.

The third pup is Miss Fanny, a distant cousin of the late Samantha.
People online obviously had some real thoughts about this extremely bizarre move, probably because Streisand discusses it so casually like it’s totally normal to get your pet bloody cloned and it’s definitely not some kind of weird Frankenstein’s Monster/Pet Sematary bullshit goin on here???
Also there’s SO many dogs out there that are napping on death’s door in shelters?? Give someone else a go at a loving home before you go out and bloody replicate your dog. This can’t end well.
What if the cloning screws up and the dogs become psychic or super dogs and then they all turn on us and we’re the ones forced to live in the kennel in the backyard???
