Ever heard of Venmo? It’s a mobile payment service owned by PayPal where you can flick your mate who owes you dough a reminder to transfer you the cash they owe and they can flick you a reminder to pay up. WELL. Because celebrities are just like us, naturally, a bunch of them use this hugely popular American app and a few clever stans have figured out how to see which stars are on there.
A TikToker by the name of Unemployed Taurus has dropped a coupla vids that show which celebs use the app but to respect their privacy, she doesn’t reveal their usernames and therefore we have no idea what their recent activity was. I respect that philosophy, but I still need the tea.
One commenter claimed that they’d seen a note where Kylie Jenner (the billionaire) had requested $8.75 “for the chipotle.” LOL.
Meanwhile someone wrote in to celebrity gossip Insta Deuxmoi claiming that Kim Kardashian’s lawyer sent a sum of money to Tristan Thompson (Kim’s sister Khloé Kardashian’s cheating boyfriend) for god only knows what reason.
Hmmm…. seems suss to me.
Tracking down a celeb’s Venmo is a rare feat and when you do this, you suddenly gain access to the accounts of all their celebrity friends.
For example, once Refinery29 found Sofia Richie’s page, they were able to see which other celebs were on there and who they had forked out money to.
As per the below screenshot, Sofia once paid That’s So Raven star Kyle Massey some dosh on the app, writing: “Miss you.” He responded: “Miss you more <3 <3.”
Other celebs she’d paid money to included Anwar Hadid, Bella Thorne and Real Housewives of Atlanta star Brielle Biermann.
The publication also spotted the Venmo of actor Patrick Schwarzenegger (a.k.a. Arnie’s son), whose mate once paid him back for “Soulllll cycle lol.”
Also, model Emily Ratajkowski has an account that features a piccy of herself, but at the time of reporting, she hadn’t used the account yet.
Pretty Little Liars star Ashley Benson also dropped some dough for co-star Troian Bellisario’s bridal shower trip to Italy, R29 reports.
It’s a real rabbithole, I tell ya.
