Zuckerberg Rips Staff For Defacing #BlackLivesMatter Slogan In Leaked Memo

Mark Zuckerberg‘s curls are in a twist as unknown Facebook employees continue to display anti-social behaviour by scratching out “black lives matter” (sic) on the company’s famous signature wall.
In a private memo posted to a company announcement page, the head honcho expressed his disappointment at “several instances” of the Black Lives Matter movement’s hashtag being replaced with “all lives matter”, stressing that it was totally “unacceptable behaviour”.

“We’ve never had rules around what people can write on our walls,” wrote Zuck, who installed the ‘write something’ walls in the first Facebook offices and has carried the tradition over into all the flash new ones. “We expect everybody to treat each other with respect.”
Facebook, as a company, is notoriously white place; only 2-bloody-percent of its staff is black, and clearly some employees at the bro-centric Menlo Park, California office can’t get their giant brains around a movement that’s done awesome things for awareness of the racial profiling, police brutality and inequality experienced by the African-American community on the daily.
Last year, Facebook’s US division hired 36 black people and 73 Hispanic people vs. 603 white people, according to its 2014 EEO–1 report.
The in-house issue is compounded by the fact it’s Black History Month, and several African-American students from the San Francisco Bay Area are due to visit Facebook tomorrow.
The memo Zuck sent around, obtained by Gizmodo, is right here for ya:
In short: don’t be ignorant or racist, dicks.
