Yr Crazy Uncle Dr Karl Has Cooked Up His Own Ice Cream, ‘God Exists’

In a way, Dr Karl is kind of like Australia‘s uncle, in another way, none of my uncles know a single thing about science so it’s a terrible comparison. He’s a bit of a dag, sure, but he also taught us about micro-sleeps, and there’s no way we can possibly repay him for that.
What I’m trying to say is: I love him and I wish he was my dad (sorry to my real dad, if you’re reading this). Why am I rambling about how great it would be to be Dr Karl’s son and to go on science adventures with him all the time? Because he’s releasing his own damn ice cream flavour.
To celebrate the launch of his 40th book (yes, legit 40th), he’s cooking up a collab with n2 Extreme Gelato: the extremely esoterically named “God exists“, a caffeine and chocolate combo.
If you’re wondering why on earth you would name an ice cream after the two words that are guaranteed to make Richard Dawkins‘ head explode like the guy from ‘Scanners‘, get ready for some extreme nerd talk.
As Dr Karl explains in Chapter 26 of ‘THE DOCTOR‘, the active ingredient in chocolate is “theobromine”, literally latin for “Food of the Gods“. Theobromine is incredibly similar to caffeine, except for one difference: caffeine is a vasoconstrictor, chocolate is a vasodilator – one constricts blood vessels, one opens them up back again.
In conclusion, according to Dr Karl:

“Two things are obvious: One, whenever you drink coffee, you should also have a little chocolate to balance things out. Two, this is no coincidence. It solves the Problem of the Ages. Yes, if God exists, then God wants us to have chocolate with coffee.”
‘THE DOCTOR’ will delve into such mysteries as Bitcoin, why mozzies are more attracted to some people than others, and jellyfish that refuse to die – and you’ll be able to pick yourself a copy as of next Thursday.
The ice cream will be hitting us a lot sooner, hitting n2 stores in Sydney and Melbourne and pop-ups across the country this coming Thursday (an entire week earlier!). Get into it, nerds.
