Tis the season to be jolly and all, but tis also the season to get yourself a little treat. And if you happen to be fanging about the streets of one of Australia’s major cities over the next week, there may be a way to score yourself a little festive cheer without evacuating a single dollar from your beleaguered bank account.
Swedish shopping app Klarna is set to launch what they’re calling a “Street Art Lottery,” which promises fabulous prizes to a lucky few who happen to strike it festively rich.
The story goes that folks behind the app will be plastering up a poster at street level in each of Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide, and Perth. Upon said poster rests ye olde QR code, which folks can scan to put themselves in the running.
Each day, a different prize is being given away. And they’re fairly serious booty as well. We’re talking Yeezy Slides, a Nintendo Switch, a Jacquemas Handbag, Nike Air Max Sneakers, even a Weber BBQ and a Dyson Vacuum. There’s also a cheeky $1,000 Luxury Escapes voucher up for grabs. The booty? It do be serious. Very serious indeed.
Each city gets one poster, and while reportedly it will be extremely hard to miss, details on exactly where the thing can be found have been forwarded to us. We thought about keeping it to ourselves, but where’s the fun in that. Drop yr Google Maps pins at the following locations, ya chuckleheads:

Everything kicks off from tomorrow, December 11th, with the lottery running across the following seven days before it wraps up on the 17th. In all, 35 prizes are being given away across the country. Which ain’t half bad at all, really.
