WWESubway: The Wrestling And Sandwich-Themed Twitter Feed For Your Soul

Real talk: This particular news editor at your favourite* news/pop culture website PEDESTRIAN.TV absolutely fkn loves the fine art of professional wrestling.

A lot.
It’s a borderline obsession.
He’s loved it since Austar got switched on in Tasmania in the late 90s and he got to see X-Pac & Kane take on the Acolytes in an episode of WWF Raw is War that Fox Sports 1 was broadcasting on a two-week tape delay. He’s loved it right through to today, where he’s actually lost sleep due to being too fired up on the thought of Shinsuke Nakamura and The Bullet Club jumping ship from New Japan Pro Wrestling over to the WWE. Hell, he even spent an inordinate amount of money late last year to travel over to Florida to see an NXT house show in a dingy high school basketball auditorium in Gainesville (worth every cent after copping a dope as fuck Too Sweet off of Finn Bálor, just FYI).
Why all this? Because wrestling is the shit.
And so are sandwiches, for that matter.
Ordinarily the two seldom meet. One is a global entertainment artform featuring many muscle-bound sweaty men hauling each other around by the tights. The other is a foodstuff.
Sure, they’ve crossed paths before in some (in hindsight) very regrettable ways (see: lead image *collar pulling intensifies*). But it’s only recently that the perfect mix has been found.
WWESubway has been kicking around on Twitter since late December, and it has the seemingly benign premise of combining WWE-related GIFs with emotions felt pertaining to all things Subway sandwiches.
And yet, somehow… it’s perfect.
Utterly, utterly perfect.
Observe.

TEARS. PERFECTION. UTTER BRILLIANCE.
