Woman Found Dead In Shower Of Melb Serviced Apartment After Buck’s Party

A woman believed to be in her 20s has been found dead in a serviced apartment at Oaks on Market in Melbourne‘s CBD, where a group of men from Canberra were reportedly celebrating a buck’s night.
Eleven men were renting three apartments in the building for the weekend, and the woman is believed to have come back to one of the rooms with them on Saturday night.
Fairfax is reporting that one of the men woke up to find the woman, who has not been identified, dead in the shower this morning.
Four of the group remain in police custody, although no charges have been laid yet. None of them have told reporters who the woman was or how they knew her.

The Courier Mail reports that one of the group said he had thought the woman’s death was “one big stitch-up […] but turns out it wasn’t“. Fairfax are also reporting that members of the group said they had been “stitched up“.
It appears that the group of men were not the ones who called emergency services. The death is being treated as suspicious.
Police have released a description of what the young woman was wearing in the hopes that she’ll be identified: a black long-sleeve shirt, blue denim shorts and white sneakers.
Detectives continue their investigation.
