Police are investigating the death of a woman who was found in a Melbourne CBD alleyway this morning.

Citing a Victoria Police statement, ABC reports the woman’s body was discovered around 6:30am at the intersection of Little Bourke Street and Celestial Avenue in the city’s Chinatown district.
Paramedics were called to the scene but could not revive the woman.
The woman is yet to be identified, and her cause of death has not yet been determined.
Authorities are treating her death as suspicious.
Numerous homicide detectives have reportedly joined officers at the scene, which has been cordoned off between Swanston Street and Russell Street.
