Remember the US government official who was fired in early November over a racist Facebook post in which she called Michelle Obama an “ape in heels”? Well, guess what: for some baffling reason she’s being given her job back.
Pamela Ramsey Taylor was let go as director of Clay County Development Corp, after making a public FB post saying “It will be refreshing to have a classy, beautiful, dignified First Lady in the White House. I’m tired of seeing a Ape (sic) in heels.” The then-mayor of Clay, Beverly Whaling, resigned after keen-eyed punters noticed she had replied to that status with “Just made my day Pam.“
What your life would have to be like for someone’s shitty racist comment to make your day is absolutely beyond me, but hey, I’m no racist.
While it wasn’t publicly announced because, well, duh, some digging by the ‘Charleston Gazette-Mail‘ found that Taylor will be back in her old position as of December 23rd.
Pretty understandably, some folks are none too happy about the decision:
What a shitty move. Very excited to see the dumbest dickheads in the world crawl out of the woodwork to whine about how it was unfair that she was fired in the first place just for having a “different opinion”, because they personally have never experienced any discrimination in their entire life and reckon racism is just another harmless point of view.
