Woman Feared Dead In Grenfell Blaze Found Alive In Hospital 8 Days Later

In a piece of news out of London that is not hot garbage: a 32-year-old woman caught in the Grenfell Tower tragedy has been found alive in hospital eight days later.
Fadumo Ahmed lived on the 19th floor of the 24-storey building, and had called her mother to say a heart-wrenching goodbye as the fire blazed on June 14 2017: “I can’t come down any more. I can’t get down. I’m in God’s hands now. Pray for me. Goodbye.”
In the week since, her friends had posted pictures of Ahmed on streets around the site of the blaze in North Kensington
But Ahmed had been uncovered passed out way up on the 18th floor by firies, who carried her to safety. She has been in hospital ever since, being treated for the effects of smoke inhalation. Her family have been close at hand, unaware that Ahmed was presumed missing.
It’s ripper news – particularly when read in conjunction with recent developments in the ongoing investigation into the blaze coming out of London
The fire is believed to have been started by a faulty fridge freezer. The official death toll currently stands at nine, with 79 people still missing, presumed dead.
