Adult Human Remains Found Less Than An Hour From Where William Tyrrell Disappeared

WILLIAM TYRRELL

Four years after William Tyrrell went missing from his grandmother’s house in Kendall, New South Wales, human remains have reportedly been discovered less than an hour away from where the infant was last seen.

Rural Fire Services discovered the body in Yarratt State Forest, Upper Lansdowne, at around 6:10am on 27th December while putting out a small fire.

While a post-mortem examination is yet to be conducted, it’s believed the remains belong to an adult human, despite no fresh reports of anyone missing in the area.

It is understood the remains also pre-date the fire extinguished by emergency services.

The finding comes a week after news that an inquest into the three-year-old’s disappearance will open in March 2019 aimed at pursuing “active leads”.

Counsel assisting the coroner, Gerard Craddock SC, recently told the court it’s isn’t presently possible to conclude wether William is deceased.

“The police investigation into his disappearance is ongoing and police are following active leads at present,” Mr Craddock said.

(An inquest) makes us go over all the evidence collected in the last four years – it’s an enormous task,” Homicide Squad commander Scott Cook added.

“The coroner will consider that and may well ask us to do further things.”

William Tyrrell’s body has never been found and there are yet to be charges made over his disappearance.

This story is developing, more news as it comes.
