‘Wild Turkey’ Hunt Kicks Off In WA After BWS’ Thanksgiving Ad Misprint

Woe betide the fool who separates Western Australia from some cheap plonk.
No matter if it was BWS or The Western Australian who’s at fault for accidentally advertising 24-can cartons of Wild Turkey & Cola for $34 – down more than $50 on their regular price – the newspaper ad misprint still led to a sober string of broken hearts across the state yesterday.
Like a warming tinnie’s final dregs, the news of the misprint took a while to swallow for some stores in the region. Result: Some v. happy drinkers saved a wad of cash through some savvy price-matching.
The company apologised to consumers for “any inconvenience,” presumably while frantically stashing pallets of the super-cheap cartons where us plebs couldn’t get our clammy mitts on ’em.
Good news, though – in the very, very unlikely circumstances you happen across one of these fabled slabs on shelf in BWS, you might still be able to grab it at the ludicrous sale price. Finally, Australia can enjoy its own round of Thanksgiving turkey-hunting.
