‘Where’s Waldo?’ Chilling In Google Maps For The Whole Week So Get Spotting

Happy Easter and April Fool’s Day! Most of you are probably stuffed to the brim with food, food, and more food so if you’re looking for something to fill the time between now and dinner then get out your phones and open up Google Maps. ‘Cos for a whole week, Waldo’s taking a trip around the world and you get to tag along.

The game is to celebrate April Fool’s Day but this isn’t a joke, you can actually play the game – I tried it and got hooked almost immediately before suffering the sweet, sweet torture of not being able to locate Wally on LEVEL TWO.

There are multiple levels to play and you can even earn achievements like ‘secret sleuth’ and ‘Where’s Wally Master’ along the way.

So all you gotta do is open Google Maps (make sure the app is up to date) on your phone and Waldo will wave to you. Click him and you’ll have the option to play the game and it’s smooth sailing from there.

You can virtually travel the world, zoom in and out, and time travel right back to your childhoods.

Check out Wally on the Gold Coast in level two. Whatta cool dude.

Me stuck on Level Two because I have no patience.

The game’s also available on your browser if you’re super competitive and want a bigger screen and or want your family to join in.

And, a whole bunch of Martin Handford’s creations are also hiding in Google Maps. So watch out for Woof, Wenda, Wizard Whitebeard, and creepy Odlaw. Although, all you need to progress to the next level is Wally… but if you’re super competitive, you can stay and find the rest of the crew.

Naturally, a lot of people are getting into the game.

Also, Level Four looks insane.

As you can see people have gotten distracted and spent (or wasted) a large amount of time on the game already so turns out the joke is still on us.

Enjoy the rest of your Easter, friends.
