We would be remiss if we didn’t bring you the wildest footage from Newcastle road rage incidents. If we had an actual charter, it would be number one for sure.
A video is circulating of a road rage incident on Maitland Road in Sandgate in which three men and one woman exit their vehicles and basically engage in an enormous brawl on the nature strip. Driver CJ Van Rensburg told Fairfax Media he captured the incident on his dashboard camera while he was driving home from work.
Apparently one of the two vehicles involved was swerving erratically, and the driver was yelling something out of the window before they came to a stop in traffic and decided to sort it all out on the nature strip – which is obviously the only place true justice can be achieved.
“They started brawling on the sidewalk,” Mr Van Rensburg said. “Why that is, I don’t know, but certainly the car that is closest to my vehicle, they seemed to be the agitators.”
“Just the way they acted in the cars was ludicrous. Once they stopped and got out of the cars and started brawling, I thought yeah, it’s some road rage thing going on.”
Several angles of the fight were captured and widely shared on social media. People love a biff, it seems.

A witness told Fairfax they called the police when they saw it all go down, but the brawlers had abandoned ship by the time they showed up. All in all, apparently it went for less than a minute. Go on guys, get it all out of your system.
