There is no greater bromance than the one between top Trumpsters Steve Bannon and Reince Priebus, and the reason their love is so great is that they very, very clearly despise one another.
Bannon is the former head honcho over at Breitbart – a hard-right shit-stirrer who has been accused of a raft of ills from white nationalism to anti-Semitism. His goal is to rip the Republican Party to bits and reconstitute it as an explicitly nationalist party. Priebus, on the other hand, is the former head of the Republican National Convention and very much an establishment party man, someone who absolutely does not want to see a significant change of direction.
So despite the fact they’re both at Trump’s side, it’s clear their goals aren’t quite aligned. Which is why they had to show up onstage together at the Conservative Political Action Conference and pretend to be mates, something which actual mates don’t really need to do.
“We share an office suite together,” Priebus told the crowd, which is obviously an extremely powerful defence of their relationship. Then there was this: video of Priebus visibly swatting Bannon’s hand away when he tried to touch him. Again, a true mark of friendship:

To be fair though, what the hell was Bannon doing there? Trying to touch his thigh? I know you guys need to project the image of unity and camaraderie but you definitely do not need to grab his thigh.
