A couple of weeks ago we showed all y’all the beginnings of an entirely new breed of awkward comedy in the ferociously fucking weird Danye’s World – a comedy/documentary series following the on-stage antics and family life of comedian Dayne Rathbone, one of the country’s most entirely unique new comics.
Now we’ve got the third instalment, and it picks up exactly where the first two episodes left off. We get a bit more insight into Dayne’s upbringing, and a push from filmmaker Mike Nayna to acclimatise Dayne to the world of dating through the magnificent beast known as Tinder, much to older brother (rugby union star and former Wallaby) Clyde Rathbone‘s chagrin.
You’ll either laugh your guts out or have no idea what’s going on. But you just won’t be able to look away.
We still can’t figure out if it’s devastatingly real or a fucked up magnum opus from a burgeoning creative genius.
