A lot of you will probably be well aware of the fact that Ryan Gosling has more than a few musical bones in his body.
Back in 2009, RyGos put out an album with his group Dead Man’s Bone (using the pseudonym Baby Goose because he’s sneaky). Hell, he even started his career at the tender age of 12 as a Mouseketeer, alongside other now-famed cast members like Justin Timberlake, Britney Spears, and Christina Aguilera.
So it’s not gonna come as much of a surprise to any of you to learn that Gos is flexing his pipes in the upcoming musical comedy-drama ‘La La Land.’
What might surprise you, however, is just how DAMNED GOOD he sounds.
The first trailer for the film hit the internets today, and features a dreamy succession of shots, accompanied by a lilting Gosling crooning over a dark, almost Tom Waits-ish jazz number.
It’s truly bloody something to behold.
The film also stars Emma Stone reuniting with Gosling for the first time since ‘Crazy Stupid Love‘, as well as JK Simmons, John Legend, Rosemarie DeWitt, and a stack of others. Damien Chazelle, who previously wrote and directed the similarly excellent ‘Whiplash‘, wrote the script for the film, and serves as its director.
‘La La Land‘ is set for release in early December.
