WATCH: ‘Return Of The Jedi’ Trailer, As Directed By David Lynch

Back in 1981, George Lucas approached innovative director, creative genius, and potential total nutball David Lynch to direct the third and final instalment in the original Star Wars trilogy, Return of the Jedi. Lynch dutifully turned it down. But the “what if he accepted?” question remains one of the more notable unanswered conundrums of the Star Wars universe.

Thanks to the majesty of the internet, we now have a cleverly cut together fan-made trailer for the film that might have been.
Lynch fans will easily recognise the homages and Lynch-like tone that it has. And casual fans will probably just be confused and thoroughly creeped out by the whole thing.
But hey, anything that tries to ignore the whole “Ewoks with rocks” thing is A-OK by me.
