Look, self-care is always, always going to be more important than money. No one knows how armed robbers are going to react, and the safest reaction will always be to hand over the money and hope they piss off.
Having said that, it’s never not going to be great to see shop-owners like Denise McKechnie just fkn wail on ratbag (would-be) thieves.
The owner of Coorparoo’s Quick-E-Mart, McKechnie was confronted with a man holding a lump of wood late this afternoon, who, despite his simply stellar choice of weapon, was roundly thrashed for his efforts. Unfortunately, the man also got some blows before escaping, and remains at large.

Sure, we might be glorifying violence and perpetuating the idea that it’s somehow intrinsically better than being safe, but did you see her fucking swinging arm?!
