WATCH: QLD Hotel Held Up By Very Shy Robber In Fucked Up Clown Mask

I understand that, statistically, most people are pushed into crime due to things like socioeconomic disadvantage, poor mental health, addiction, or a combination of all of the previous. I also understand that, as part of committing a successful heist, protecting your identity is of the utmost importance. I get all that. All I ask is that people committing crimes don’t do so wearing murderclown masks.
I can understand the existence of crime, I can rationalise why people take money illegally. I cannot rationalise murderclowns. I do not want to have to rationalise murderclowns. FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, do not make me think about murderclowns.
If you’re wondering why I’m getting all het up about this, it’s because people keep bloody doing it. Take this guy, who robbed a Sydney venue in March, and who I would kindly like to fuck off forever.
Pictured: This fuckin’ guy.

And now, again, some drongo has decided that the best way to rob a place is to dress like either the clown robbers from the start of ‘The Dark Knight‘, the clown robbers from the film ‘Quick Change‘, or the thing that horrifies you in your nightmares.
Queensland Police released CCTV footage from Ipswich‘s Racehorse Hotel showing a man in a clown mask threatening staff with a knife before running off with the cash.
The man entered the venue at around 8:15pm on Monday night and appeared intent on not causing too much of a fuss:

“She [a staff member] noticed a gun sticking out of his backpack, and that’s when he came in and pointed it at her neck.

“It looked like a slug gun. It had a fairly skinny barrel, but when he pointed it at her neck we thought there is no point in trying to be heroes here.

“It looked like he was sh*tting himself more than what anybody else was – like it was the first time he’d done an armed robbery. He wasn’t talking very loudly because I don’t think he wanted to draw any attention to himself.

“There were people in the pokie room who didn’t even realise there had been a robbery.”
As adorable as that that sounds, the CCTV footage is still straight up nightmare fuel:

Not forgetting his manners, he was apparently quite polite when leaving:

“At no point was I worried that he was going to shoot anyone. As he was leaving he said: ‘Have a good night’.”
Police are still on the lookout for the man, who was described as wearing a clown mask with green hair, a dark jumper and light coloured shorts, if you have any info, contact Crimestoppers on 1800 333 000.
