WATCH: Police Subdue Frenzied Knife Attacker In London Underground

Commuters have captured the scenes of confusion as a knife-wielding man was subdued by police in a London underground station early on Saturday evening, after stabbing three people.
The attack occurred in the ticket hall at Leytonstone Station. One man sustained serious but non-life threatening injuries after being stabbed in the neck, while two more were wounded. 
The Guardian report that it took just under eight minutes for police officers to arrive and subdue the assailant; videos show him being tased twice, before he collapses to the ground.
Bystanders report that the attacker shouted “this is for Syria!” while carrying out the attack; a passenger at the station shouted out “you ain’t no Muslim, bruv” as the man was detained.
The incident occurred just after 7.06pm local time, and footage of its aftermath was captured by nearby commuters and shared on social media. One video below shows a pool of blood on the station floor.

The London Metropolitan Police‘s counter-terrorism command is investigating the stabbing, and are treating it as a terrorist incident. Commander Richard Walton said:
“I would urge the public to remain calm, but alert and vigilant. The threat from terrorism remains at severe, which means that a terrorist attack is highly likely.”
The suspect has been arrested and taken to an east London police station.
