WATCH: John Oliver Goes In On The NZ PM & His Abominable Spaghetti Pizza

By all rights it should be a common sense lesson, but in case any of you were thinking about getting into politics and were feeling a little froggy, heed this:

Do not, under any circumstances, provoke a comedian.
Do not antagonise them. Do not attempt to burn them. Do not even mention their name in passing.
And definitely do not do it if that comedian happens to have their own weekly TV show.
You might recall that the New Zealand Government has inexplicably found itself locked in a court battle against actual Eminem over alleged copyright infringement, stemming from an extremely shitty knock-off of ‘Lose Yourself‘ that the National Party used in re-election campaign ads back in 2014.
The beyond incredible footage of a court room full of Kiwi lawyers listening to ‘Lose Yourself‘ in complete silence wound up in the lap of John Oliverwho took incredible glee skewering it on ‘Last Week Tonight‘ just over a week ago.
New Zealand Prime Minister Bill English was subsequently asked about the Oliver segment, which he first asserted he had not seen, and then secondly decided to try and return serve by labelling Oliver “not funny.”
Do not do that, Bill. You will not win.
Oliver took square aim at English on ‘LWT‘ this week, raging against everything from English’s extremely weird exercise video, to his criminally abhorrent tinned spaghetti on pizza nonsense.

Reminder: All Bill English said was John Oliver was “not funny,” and in return Oliver fires back with the staggeringly great line “the poorest man’s Daniel Craig.”
Now Bill, you might be tempted to have another dig in return after this latest shot from Oliver.
That would be foolish.
Do not do it.
You’re not ever going to win that’s simply not going to happen.
