Whoever said politics was a dull game is a clear fool.
You might recall a little over a week ago that New Zealand politician Steven Joyce found himself copping the shaft from a protester, registering their objections to the TPP.
The crotchety objector made the ballsy move of thrusting herself into a news conference that Joyce was at the head of, providing stiff opposition to his cocky remarks regarding erecting the partnership; a view which he refuses to go flaccid on. Penis.
The woman launched a dildo, which struck Joyce square in the face, creating one of the all-time great pieces of political footage in the process.
Far from being angry about it, Joyce admirably took the incident in his stride, even going so far as to goad someone into giving the footage to John Oliver.

Turns out that was an invitation simply too good to ignore.
Not only did John Oliver feature the incident on the episode of Last Week Tonight that aired in the US overnight, but he absolutely went to town on it.
No punches pulled. No expense spared.
Printing up a mock New Zealand flag with the image of Joyce’s face being smacked with a dildo and sending it to PETER FKN JACKSON to wave around should have been enough in and of itself.
But a choir singing about dildos to the tune of the “Hallelujah” chorus whilst red, white, and blue dildos rained down on the stage, and two people in life-sized dildo costumes swung into each other on wires?
That’s the kind of extra mile that wins you Emmy Awards.
And, bless his self-deprecating heart, Joyce again lost zero skin off his own nose.
