A choir of very talented doctors, nurses and health workers from the UK‘s NHS (National Health Service) is celebrating taking out the UK Charts number one spot, ahead of Justin Bieber and Adele.
And no one is happier about it than Biebs himself.
Just heard the news. Amazing. That is what Christmas is all about. @Choir_NHS congrats!! Very cool

In Bieber is largely responsible for the choir’s success.
Their song, ‘Bridge Over You’ – a mash up of Simon and Garfunkel’s ‘Bridge Over Troubled Water’ and Coldplay’s ‘Fix You’ – was trailing him in the charts until he urged his legion of Beliebers to “do the right thing” and buy the single, the proceeds of which went to various charities across the UK.
so for 1 week it’s ok not to be #1. Let’s do the right thing & help them win. It’s Christmas. @Choir_NHS good luck https://t.co/ORCtFY1k4i

Aw, what a softie.

In the end the choir emerged victorious, with 127,000 sales of ‘Bridge Over You’, well ahead of Bieber’s ‘Love Yourself’ (which is FUCKING AMAZING FYI) at 97,000.
Their reaction to being told they’d won is enough to warm the cockles of the coldest Grinch’s heart.
