Hell, the cream of the crop were movies that were more or less entirely about dancing.
It was a simpler time for filmmakers. If characters reached a point of emotional overload, you had them vent whatever they were feeling through dance. And it didn’t matter what they were feeling: joy, relief, PENT UP TEEN ANGST, anything.
2016 is the 30th anniversary of Lionel Ritchie‘s peak-montage backing track ‘Dancing on the Ceiling,’ and in celebration, some absolute YouTubing legend by the name of Robert Jones has thrown together this glorious supercut of dancing sequences from a swathe of 80s movies, all set to the strains of Lionel.
