A Brisbane woman has managed to do the seemingly impossible, fending off a would be attacker with an old-school pricing gun.
Disappointingly it wasn’t in a like “I have priced you $0.01, your self-esteem is so demolished that you must leave.” kind of way, but also, very much the opposite of disappointingly, it’s super, super good that she managed to fend him off.
The woman was working at a shop in Upper Mount Gravatt when a customer loitering around the checkout started menacing her with an electric shocking pen (???). She responded by going at him with the closest improvised weapon at hand, which happened to be a pricing gun.
He tried and failed to take it back from her, but she wasn’t taking any shit, wailing at him with the pricing gun and chasing him out of the store when he eventually fled.
Cops are on the lookout for a man of average build in his early 20s described as African or Torres Strait Islander in appearance, 165 centimetres tall with a small beard under his chin. He was wearing a grey shirt, dark pants, dark cap and sunglasses.
He was seen exiting the scene in a Hyundai i30 (extremely badass escape vehicle). Give Crime Stoppers a call on 1800 333 000 if you reckon you know something.
