Watch An Adam “MCA” Yauch Guerilla Art Tribute At The MCA

Since Adam ‘MCA’ Yauch passed in early May, we’ve seen some pretty spectacular tributes from M83, Coldplay, Thom Yorke, and Virgin America (via Dappled Cities) and this one would have to be up there with the best of them.

Sydney-based ad creatives James Beswick and Dan White have paid silent tribute to the late Beastie Boys rapper with a guerilla-style art installation at the MCA (Museum of Contemporary Art) in Sydney, complete with a stoic human statue styled to resemble MCA and accompanied by an unofficial artist’s statement blu-tacked to the wall in one of the museum’s gallery spaces. Sabotage!

We just wanted to do something a bit different to honour of MCA” said Beswick, “Obviously the MCA seemed like a perfect place to do this. We thought we’d try and turn a few heads and raise a few smileswhilst raising some money for a brilliant cause.

Watch the awesome human installation below, which was also performed in aid of The Cancer Council.

You can check out the boys’ official Facebook page here and donate to the tribute’s official Cancer Council page here.
