Going to a stand-up comedy show? A big one? In a theatre? With a big name comedian? Here’s some rules to remember:
1) You’re an audience member, not a participant in the entertainment.
2) Stand-up shows are not open forums for discussion.
3) The comedian has a microphone.
4) You do not have as good a grasp on the art of comedy as they do.
5) You will not win.
And all those rules especially apply if you feel like it’s a hilarious thing to shout sexist shit at Amy Schumer.
At the Stockholm stop on Schumer’s stand-up world tour (which hits our shores in December), it apparently took all of two minutes before some guy in the crowd, sitting very in the front rows in a seat that could not have been cheap, decided to interject.
And not just interject, but interject with “SHOW US YOUR TITS.”

Heckling at comedy shows: Save it for open mics where the rest of the crowd can force you to get up behind the mic and put your “jokes” where their jeers are.
