Christopher Nolan has dropped the mysterious trailer for his next sci-fi epic, Interstellar.
A more complex answer to Alfonso Cuarón’s Gravity, Interstellar stars Matthew McConaughey and Anne Hathaway; the film also features Jessica Chastain, Matt Damon, Casey Affleck and Topher Grace in Nolan’s first film since his monumental finale to the Batman trilogy, The Dark Knight Rises. While the trailer for Interstallar tells us precious little of where this space travel epic is heading, its official synopsis states, “When a wormhole is newly discovered, a team of explorers and scientists embark on a voyage through it to transcend previous limitations on human space travel.”
Releasing “one year from now” (December 14, 2014), Interstellar drops promisingly close to next year’s award season. Will watch.
