Even as someone who works in the media and has a fairly decent understanding of the kind of production processes that go into creating television news, I am still shocked and baffled by how certain reports actually get to air.
Case in point: the 7 News Queensland report today on a woman who discovered a 25-year-old muesli bar in the pocket of an old ski jacket.

A few questions I have on my mind:
- How did 7 News find out about this? Did the woman contact them?
- Why hasn’t she looked at that nasty-ass jacket for 25 years?
- Why did her idiot husband eat the muesli bar?
- Why am I watching this?
This is Trump’s world now. There are no longer any rules.
