Voice Behind American Siri Revealed, Asks Her Questions In Meta Headspin

America’s most polygamous girlfriend/PA/annoying idiot who doesn’t understand my accent has been identified (she ain’t just a pretty robotic voice) brb while I ask Siri how many confused feelings I should have about this.

Siri is Susan Bennett, a voice actor from Atlanta, who revealed her identity on CNN, descending in to boggling meta actions of ASKING SIRI WHO SIRI IS. Wut. Bennet came forward on Siri’s second birthday, saying that she recorded the syllables that would systematically turn her in to Siri way back in 2005, when Siri was but a speck in the Apple Womb of Steve Jobs’ mind. Little did Bennett know that she would become one of the most ubiquitous and well-recognised voices of a nation, fuelling anger at “her” propensity to tout subtle Pro Life sentiments, tell fucking awful jokes, and fail at being a hitman. Ugh.
The unveiling of the Yank Siri is particularly poignant; while the Aussie Siri has already been unveiled, the iphone market is dominated in the US, thus providing more far reaching instances and emotional connections to Siri’s all-consuming knowledge about the weather.
Most importantly, however; Siri, does this now mean that Susan Bennett will be listed as the star of Spike Jonze’s upcoming Siri-inspired feature film? Watch things get creepy below.
