GUYS, WE HAVE EXTREMELY GODDAMN IMPORTANT NEWS: LOOK AT THIS VERY SMOL FOX!
so smol!!!
Taronga Zoo has celebrated the birth of a baby Fennec Fox, who was born on December 3 and has just started to wander out of its nest box.
Keepers are yet to name or confirm the sex of the “curious” kit, who has just started to become more independent from its parents and forage for its own food.

“The little one is beginning to spend a lot more time outdoors. We’re seeing it playing, rolling around on its back and chasing after mum and dad,” said keeper Deb Price.
“The parents are doing a fantastic job again, with Zinder proving to be a particularly attentive dad. We’ve seen him filling up his mouth with food and then racing back to deliver it to the kit.”
The teeny lil kit weighed in at 640 grams, and has now begun to sample solid foods such as crickets, mealworms and mice.

If you’re wondering about the ears, Fennec Foxes have absolutely bloody HUGE bat-like ears that always look way too big for their body. Their ears can grow up to 15cm, and help them dissipate heat so they can keep cool in the hellishly harsh Northern African desert sun.
The lil’ kit is reportedly starting to venture out now, so you can go and visit them at Taronga Zoo now.
