A young US pilot expressed his understandable Coronavirus-related frustrations in a very unique way on Tuesday, writing ‘FUCK COVID-19’ in the Maryland skies with his flight path.
It took 19-year-old university student Greggor Hines roughly 1 hour and 15 minutes to write the iconic phrase, after taking his dad’s plane for a spin. (A mood in itself.)
Flightradar24, a site used to track air traffic in real time, shared Hines’ flight path to Twitter.
“We’re just going to leave this here,” it captioned the tweet, which has since amassed over 6k likes.

Speaking to the Washingtonian, Hines explained that he hadn’t initially set out to write the now-legendary phrase: “We’d just got a new compass in the airplane, and I just had to check it out somehow.”
He then decided to go ahead with the task, in a bid to “express how he felt”.
Punters have taken to the Flightradar24 thread to commend Hines on his precision and attention to detail. I mean, you’ve gotta give it to the teen – it’s pretty fucking spot-on.
Truly amazing I’ve actually watched the map video of it!

I hereby declare Hines a prince of the skies, and a speaker of the people. Fuck COVID-19, indeed. Check out the detailed flight path, and subsequent info, over on Flightradar24 here.
